U.S. Aerobatic Team in Need of Support
With soldiers’ needs for C-5A military transport aircraft in Iraq a top priority, the U.S. Aerobatic Team members will have to find another way to get themselves and their airplanes to the 2005 World Championships, scheduled for June 22 through July 2, in Burgos, Spain.

Current Issues and Activities as of March 6th 2005 Columbia airport is governed by Tuolumne County Airports, (as is Pine Mountain Lake Airport). Columbia Airport is fortunate in that we have great support from our County Board of Supervisors. The fact that the CDF Air Attack Base is located at Columbia is also a big plus for the Airport. The Community understands the need and fantastic role the Air Attack Base plays in protecting our foothill and mountain community from wild land and forest fires.

County supervisors miffed at secret discussions for airport terminal

STOCKTON — San Joaquin County supervisors are miffed that two powerful developers and Stockton officials went behind their backs to discuss a new terminal at the county-run Stockton Metropolitan Airport.

The Torrance Airport Commission approved a visit April 14-15 of the EAA’s B-17 “Fuddy-Duddy”.
The joint EAA/Torrance Airfair Association event is expected to draw 5,000 to the airport for
rides, aircraft tours, and an EAA Young Eagle operation. The Commission recommendation goes
to City Council for final approval in a few weeks.

South Lake Tahoe needs a few good architects to come up with ideas for a government center at the Lake Tahoe Airport. The city is expected this week to call on architectural firms to share their qualifications for the long-term, City Manager Dave Jinkens said Sunday. The City Council approved last week the request to run the solicitation.
