More on Gnoss………..

Friends,

Gnoss Field (Marin County Airport) is celebrating its’ 50th Anniversary.  We would love to have you and your family and friends come and enjoy the celebration.  The WINGS OVER MARIN event is shaping up as the place to be on Saturday, August 14, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.  This is guaranteed to be a great day of fun for all ages.

Event website: http://www.gnossfield.org/

Please see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bUKKllxXIU for an event overview

Kids 12 and under get in free.  The kids will remember exploring a U. S. Coast Guard helicopter, looking at experimental and antique aircraft, and they’ll love the BBQ hamburgers/or hot dogs.  Everyone will enjoy the fly-bys and beautiful aircraft on static display.

We’ll also have great seminars for young and old, highlighted by Marin County’s own Millie Fulford Hughes, an astronaut, who flew the first space lab mission dedicated to biomedical studies in1991.  Millie learned to fly at Gnoss Field!   I know you’ll be glad you were there.  In addition to meeting an astronaut, you’ll be glad you were able to listen to the experiences of  Alex Vucetich, and Mario Ghilotti, who were in the Army Air Corp in WWII.  Admission to the event is $5 if you are over 12 years of age.  This is a sure hit for everyone.

The WINGS OVER MARIN committee is working hard to make this a great day for you and your family and friends.  Please see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bUKKllxXIU for an event overview.  And PLEASE FORWARD this announcement and attachment on to your friends!!!
