Wathen Foundation Launches Aviation-Oriented Charter School At Flabob. Building on the success of its satellite EAA Air Academy program, the Thomas Wathen Foundation will launch Wathen Aviation High School at Riverside, California’s Flabob Airport this coming school year. Twenty-five students will begin a four-year course of study at the new charter school on September 6th.

The mention of an expanded Lindbergh Field was met with jeers while the idea of a new airport at Miramar air station was met with cheers at a public meeting last night about a future regional airport.
