Senator Boxer’s ‘Canned Response’ to User Fees

Senator Boxer’s canned response to the question on users fees is unfortunate. The fact that she is joining the Congressional group backing big business (the Airlines), which has targeted general aviation is very disappointing. Read her auto-response by clicking more below. We should expert more out of our Congressional representitves, but they continue to disappoint as Congresswoman Boxer indicates here.

First the crumbling, 10,000-foot runway was rebuilt. Now it’s time to modernize the terminal building. San Bernardino International Airport officials on Wednesday set in motion a $38million project to bring the 66,000-square-foot terminal building up to today’s standards. San Bernardino Mayor Pat Morris, who is president of the airport board, called the terminal a “linchpin” project that would allow the facility to attract the passenger service it has long sought.

CARLSBAD – Carlsbad’s McClellan-Palomar Airport won’t be bigger after its $24-million terminal redevelopment project, but it should be better. The project, which will include a new, more modern terminal, is limited to constructing no more than the existing square feet of building area to replace multiple existing deficient facilities, said Peter Drinkwater, director of San Diego County Airports, which owns the airport.
