Members Need to Step Up, Fight Battle for Small Airports

Too many members of the NBAA and NATA (Editor’s Note: I would also add AOPA, EAA, and CALPILOTS) are sitting back while the heads of their organizations, Jim Coyne and Ed Bolen, respectively, battle the firestorm that started last week with the USA TODAY article blasting the government for allowing Aviation Trust Fund dollars to be squandered on small airports, according to this editorial. Members need to get motivated and act the way the Flyer’s Rights crowd, run by Kate Hanni, did, and start petitions and take other action to fight for the survival of the small airports. (9/23)
