The world’s biggest general aviation event is just a few weeks away. And by taking a look at the some of this year’s star attractions, there’s plenty to be excited about.
Among the featured aircraft scheduled to appear are Virgin Galactic’s Mothership Eve space launch vehicle, an Airbus A380 passenger jet, and several rare warbirds like the Lockheed P-38 Lightning and Curtiss P-40 Warhawk. You’ll also have an opportunity to hear from US Airways Capt. Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger and the crew of Flight 1529, along with hundreds of other guest speakers and forum presenters. The FAA Safety Center (next to the new air traffic control tower) will be buzzing with activity, offering more than 40 different seminars, presentations, and films on staying safe in the sky—all in a cool, air-conditioned environment! Check out FAASafety.gov for more information on the presentation schedule. You can review the AirVenture NOTAM on http://www.airventure.org/
