Response to USA Today’s Attack on GA Airports

AOPA, EAA, GAMA, NBAA and other aviation groups are blasting Thursday’s USA TODAY report on general aviation airports as “biased and distorted” and “devoid of journalistic balance.” The story harshly criticized federal spending on general aviation airports, but it failed to point out how general aviation operators contribute to the same trust fund through fuel taxes and the fact that the fund also helps pay for the air traffic control system. The Wichita Eagle (Kan.)/Air Capital Insider (9/17) AviationWeek.com/Business Aviation Now (9/17)
