California pilots are invited to attend the opening night BBQ featuring Rod Machado and participate in a silent auction of aviation items donated by San Diego aviation vendors at Gillespie Field and Montgomery Field. You can sign up and purchase tickets on the website.

IMPORTANT NOTE: During the landing competition and message drop event Rwy 27L will be dedicated to SAFECON. Transient traffic will be routed to 27R. Traffic for 27L both ground and taxiways will be routed specially for SAFECON competition during that time. The transient ramp parking will be very limited so plan to park on the southwest side of the field (near the tower).

There will be a NOTAM filed and available during that time so please check NOTAMs before flying into Gillespie Field during that time.
