A Chapter of California Pilots Association PO Box 1440 San Martin, CA 95046 Aviation Scholarships The South County Airport Pilot’s Association (SCAPA), a non-profit organization, has funded two aviation scholarships. These scholarships will be awarded annually to promising young men or women who have a serious interest in aviation-related careers. The first two were awarded in 2002. Awards: The awards are in the amount of $500 each. Qualifications: Recipients must be enrolled in and plan to continue a college curriculum leading to a degree in the field of aviation, or, must be accepted to a two or four year college with a major in an aviation-related field. Funding: The initial funding has been generated through generous donations from the Gilroy PAL, significant individual donors and other Pilot fund raising events. The SCAPA goal is to increase the number and amount of Awards as funding increases. Donations will be accepted from individuals or organizations interested in supporting the education of our youth.
