Aviation industry battles TSA over proposed security rules
The TSA has received more than 7,000 formal comments — mostly negative — in response to its plan to increase security measures for some business aircraft. Large and small corporations alike have also expressed opposition to the plan, and the National Business Aviation Association, for instance, says the costs for the program could run even the smallest operators from $5,000 to $10,000 per audit for mandatory compliance audits that would be required every two years.
