CASTLE AIRPORT NEW ILS
Kudos to the Merced County Supervisors. They approved and financed a new Instrument Landing System for the 11,800 foot Runway 29 at Castle Airport that is now operative. This will enhance Castle as a jewel of the San Joaquin Valley. Situated on approximately 3000 acres the former military airport has great potential for both aviation and non aviation business uses.
