A ?no strangers here, only friends we haven?t met? attitude greets the visitors to our small high desert airport. Clear skies and sunshine mixed with the sounds of general aviation activities such as skydiving and gliders are trademarks of the California City Municipal Airport. We are considered throughout the region to be recreational in nature with great prices on fuel and oil that will allow you to fly more and pay less. Other changes are taking place to shape the infrastructure to ensure the safety and economic growth of both current, and future businesses locating on the field. Improvements such as airfield drainage, lighting, signage, weather system, apron rehab, taxiway upgrades, water line for increased fire protection and updates to the Airport Master Plan are the products of competitive grants supplied by the Federal Aviation Administration, California Department of Transportation, U.S. Departments of Agriculture and Economic Development. The recent addition of Foreign Trade Zone status will open the doors to the adjoining 40-acre industrial park and add new jobs in the months ahead!
