NEW WEBSITE: If you have not had a chance, please check out our new website at: www.oceansideairportassociation.org.
Our OAA Secretary Rick Baker designed it. I think you will find it easier to use and keep you updated on what is going on with the OAA. Our new web server also has bandwidth available for streaming video and complex operations, which we can use to help in our educational efforts.
AIRPORT UPDATE: In spite of our best efforts the city council voted to increase the hangar and tie down rental at the Oceanside airport. On April 1st the tie down rental will go from $60 to $70. The hangar rental will go to a uniform $400.00. In some cases that is a 35% increase. This increase is directly attributable to the lawsuit that was filed by the anti- airport group. We must be ever vigilant. The fight to keep and improve the Oceanside airport will never end.
On the upside, the bids for the new hangars will be returned on Friday March 27
