The Santa Ynez Valley Airport Authority has sponsored an Aviation Scholarship awarded to one outstanding youth in the Santa Ynez Valley. The Scholarship provides a financial credit to apply toward the completion of a private pilot license (value estimate $8,000).
This May our airport will be having a reception to introduce our Inaugural Scholarship recipient who has recently received his private pilot’s license and our two other students who have completed approximately 3/4 of their program. Of the three students we are sponsoring, two have been accepted into the U.S. Air Force Academy. One recipient is a female.
