Here is an update for Carlsbad, McClellan-Palomar (CRQ). CRQ is fighting to stop new residential development 0.5 miles from the approach end of runway 24. Building permits have not been let. This area should be industrial only. A petition is being delivered to the San Diego Regional Airport Authority. The pilots may have caught this in time if they are careful how they proceed.
