UNR study: Reno airports generate billions for local economy
The Associated Press
RENO, Nev. – A study by two researchers at the University of Nevada, Reno
says airport operations generate about $2 billion a year for the local
economy.
The economic impact study on Reno-Tahoe International Airport and Reno-Stead
Airport released by UNR’s College of Business also found that the operations
create about 22,000 jobs in the region.
Reno-Tahoe Airport President/CEO Krys Bart says the findings underscore the
importance of air service to the region.
