I have rebuilt an abandoned 1941 airfield in the Cuyama Valley 35 miles behind Santa Barbara. Vosburgh Airfield, FAA ID: 5CN4 Airport Data:www.airnav.com/airport/5CN4 I intend to go from private to public in the next few years.
This will be the first new airport in Southern California in 40 years? Vosburgh Airfield is currently private and was charted last year.
It’s so unusual to have a new airport charted here that I get buzzed at least once a week. LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/in/jasonvosburghmba My research paper for my ERAU MBA was: Public Valuation of General Aviation Airports in Southern California.
My ultimate goal is to create a destination airport for people who love to fly and be here. I have lived here with my family for two years and every day is a work day to make this a reality.

- The airfield has been charted for over a year.
- We are having fly-ins and functions here, like hot air balloons, skydivers, etc.
- We even had air races: http://www.vg-photo.com/airshow/uarc/practice.html
