2014 CalPilots Annual Meeting – 10/4 – Save the date!

Castle AirportSaturday October 4, 2014 – Save the date!
Castle Airport – What’s that you say? You’ve never landed on an 11,802 foot long by 150 foot wide runway that served B52’s until the 1990’s? Well, this is your chance to try it out! The 2014 California Pilots Association’s Annual Meeting is being held at Castle Airport (MER) on Saturday October 4, 2014.

Planning is currently in process, but we’ll share one exciting bit of information now. In case you were not aware, Castle Airport is also the home of the Castle Air Museum, a jewel located at the general aviation friendly Castle Airport right in the middle of the state.

If you haven’t seen it, now is your chance, as admission will be heavily discounted for those attending our 2014 California Pilots Association’s Annual Meeting. That alone makes attending our annual meeting worthwhile.

Not to mention so much ramp parking space that most of the GA aircraft in California could park there! So don’t worry about finding a parking spot for your aircraft. For those of you driving in, there is also substantial parking for auto’s too.

We are currently lining up some great speakers, as well as accommodations for those interested in staying overnight. There will be a special lunch provided and motel transportation for those coming in Friday night.

Don’t miss this opportunity to meet your California Pilots Association’s Board members, meet some new friends, learn about our state’s general aviation airports, discuss issues related to them, land on a huge tower controlled ex-military runway, and visit one of the state’s best aviation museums.

Watch our website and Facebook page for more information as it comes in. We hope to see you there, attending your statewide general aviation organization.
