Agency set to consider airport expansion and alternate sites

The regional airport agency is inching closer to key decisions on the future of Lindbergh Field and a parallel effort to identify the best site to augment or replace it.

Concord airport to review master plan

CONCORD – The process to decide Buchanan Field Airport’s fate for the next 20 years will begin Tuesday night with a master planning meeting.

The hearing has been continued to Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at 9:00 am, at 320 West Temple Street, Los Angeles, California 90012.

With soldiers’ needs for C-5A military transport aircraft in Iraq a top priority, the U.S. Aerobatic Team members will have to find another way to get themselves and their airplanes to the 2005 World Championships, scheduled for June 22 through July 2, in Burgos, Spain.

Current Issues and Activities as of March 6th 2005 Columbia airport is governed by Tuolumne County Airports, (as is Pine Mountain Lake Airport). Columbia Airport is fortunate in that we have great support from our County Board of Supervisors. The fact that the CDF Air Attack Base is located at Columbia is also a big plus for the Airport. The Community understands the need and fantastic role the Air Attack Base plays in protecting our foothill and mountain community from wild land and forest fires.

Santa Paula Airport opened this week under a temporary special-use airport permit. The airport had been closed after flooding in Southern California swept away an entire tiedown apron and a piece of the runway.

County supervisors miffed at secret discussions for airport terminal
