New development takes off at San Bernardino International Airport while ONT struggles
SAN BERNARDINO – After two years of organizational restructuring following a federal criminal investigation, San Bernardino International Airport will see a spate of new development in the next year, including dozens of new hangars and construction of the Sheriff’s Department’s new aviation division.
It’s development airport officials see as promising at a time when not far to the west Ontario is struggling to gain control of its airport.

As a cornerstone of the Rialto Municipal Airport for over 36 years, Judy Scholl is relocating her aircraft and aviation legacy to a brand new hangar facility currently under construction at the San Bernardino International Airport. Judy, a pilot herself, has continued the legacy of her late husband Art Scholl by operating the Art Scholl Aviation facility, a full service fixed base operator based at Rialto airport.
