It's Chico not Chino

The North Valley Pilots Association (chapter of the CPA) invites California Pilots looking for a great day trip to fly into historic Ranchaero Airport (O23), in Chico, California. Situated 1.5 miles from beautiful downtown Chico, this public-use airport has been in existence since 1946.

There are many interesting things to do in Chico, including tours of Bidwell Park (site of filming of the original Robin Hood and Gone with the Wind). Visit Sierra Nevada Brewery, and the many 1800’s vintage mansions, including Stansbury Mansion and Bidwell Mansion. An airport courtesy car with fuel purchase is available, with bicycle and limo rental.

Overnight camping on the lawn (full kitchen and shower facilities). Come see the Thompsonian Institute of Technology and Science mini-museum located in the historic hangar and witness the current aircraft restorations underway.
