Backcountry airstrips are being lost at an alarming rate! The Recreational Aviation Foundation preserves, maintains, and creates public use recreational and backcountry airstrips nationwide. And we are developing a Liaison Program in every state to work with state officials. You can help preserve your right to recreational flying. Because of everyone’s support last year for “the RAF” by voting in the Lightspeed Aviation Foundation Awards Program, we received a $10K grant to use toward our critical work. Thank you very much!
Lightspeed encouraged us to apply again, and we were once again chosen as one of the 20 finalists to win a $10K grant this year. All you need to do is vote. We are personally asking you, your associates, and your chapter members to go on-line. It will take you less than a minute to vote. You will not get further emails from us or from Lightspeed (unless you request them by checking the related box when you vote). Here is the quick link to vote. Click on it or copy and paste to your internet browser if you prefer. Then click on the Vote Now button.
Another way to help us is to forward this email to your family and friends and ask them to vote. There is also a flyer attached to this email – please print out some copies, post it in a visible place, and hand out to your memberships and co-workers. Whatever help that you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much for your interest and support.
