Torrance Airport Helicopter Routes Questioned
Many of the helicopter operators, like the fixed-wing operators, have objected to the proposed changes because of serious safety concerns about mixing the two types of traffic and the great difficulty of seeing and avoiding helicopters in the absence of sufficient geographic and/or altitude separation.

Half Moon Bay – Lawsuit Filed Against Flawed Big Wave Project Plan Approval
The California Pilot Association’s Board members Carol Ford and Andy Wilson did an admirable job representing Calpilots in opposing the Big Wave Project near Half Moon Bay Airport. Nevertheless the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors ignored all opposing arguments and approved the project. That, however, is not the end of the story.
