Lockheed Martin Wins FAA Automated Flight Service Stations Contract

The FAA has awarded a $1.9 billion contract to a team headed by Lockheed Martin to run its 58 automated flight service stations (AFSS) located throughout the country beginning in October this year. The five-year contract, plus an optional five additional years, represents estimated savings of $2.2 billion over the next ten years.
